About Deadnettle

Lamium maculatum, known as spotted dead-nettle, is a vigorous perennial forming a dense mat of prostrate stems. Its heart-shaped leaves feature striking silver variegation, brightening shady spots. From late spring to summer, it bears whorls of hooded flowers in pink or purple. Ideal as a groundcover, it thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers partial to full shade. This adaptable plant is excellent for weed suppression and adds texture to woodland settings. It remains semi-evergreen in mild winters, providing year-round appeal and requiring minimal care.
