About Bandana® 'Clementine' Lantana

Bandana® Clementine is a spreading lantana in Syngenta’s Landscape Bandana series, valued for heat and drought tolerance. Its orange flower clusters bloom through summer, with yellow and pink tones sometimes appearing as the flowers change. ## Form and flowers The Syngenta product sheet lists plants about 41–51 cm tall and 81–91 cm wide, with spreading stems that cover up to 91 cm. A 2022 university trial also recorded orange flowers and noted variation in the mix of warm colors. Use this compact selection in sunny borders, mass plantings, or as a low groundcover. ## Growing conditions Plant in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Lantana tolerates poor soil and drought once established, but regular water helps new plantings settle in. The species is grown as an annual or perennial depending on climate; the [North Carolina Extension Plant Toolbox](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lantana-camara/) describes its sun and soil preferences. See Syngenta’s [Landscape Bandana product sheet](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/sites/g/files/kgtney2381/files/file_field/import/field_media_link/sites/g/files/zhg721/f/media/2020/10/22/sellsheet_vegetative_lantana_landscapebandana.pdf) for the exact Clementine item and dimensions, and the [University of Colorado trial report](https://spl.cde.state.co.us/artemis/ucsuserials/ucsu53010internet/ucsu530102022internet.pdf) for observed flower color. ## Maintenance Give the spreading stems room to fill in, and trim them back if they extend beyond the bed. Water during prolonged dry spells, particularly while plants are establishing.
