About Bandana® 'Orange' Lantana

Bandana® Orange is a compact, mounded lantana selected for bright orange summer color and a rounded 14–16 inch garden size. Syngenta lists Orange as product 70051046 within the Bandana® series; the same series sheet describes full-summer flowering, heat tolerance and a mounded habit. In cool regions lantana is commonly grown as a seasonal annual, while warm climates may support perennial growth. ## Landscape Use Use this selection in sunny borders, patio containers or mixed summer plantings where its compact form can provide color without overwhelming neighboring plants. Lantana flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators, and the broader Bandana® series is promoted for hot summer landscapes. See Syngenta’s [Bandana® product sheet](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/sites/g/files/kgtney2381/files/file_field/import/field_media_link/sites/g/files/zhg721/f/media/2020/10/22/sellsheet_vegetative_lantana_bandana.pdf) for the exact Orange product code and series dimensions. ## Growing Conditions Choose a full-sun location with well-drained soil. The species tolerates dry conditions after establishment, but water new plants regularly and avoid keeping the root zone saturated. In climates with frost, grow it as a warm-season annual; in frost-free areas it may persist as a shrub. The [North Carolina Extension profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lantana-camara/) covers the species’ siting, wildlife value and regional behavior. Unripe berries and foliage can be harmful to livestock, and contact with leaves may irritate sensitive skin. ## Maintenance Water during establishment, then during extended dry spells. Remove damaged growth as needed and trim lightly to maintain the rounded form. In warm regions, monitor spreading plants and avoid letting them escape into nearby natural areas.
