Bandana® White is a compact cultivar in Syngenta’s Bandana® lantana series, with clusters of white and cream flowers. The official variety profile describes a mounding plant with medium vigor, full-sun exposure, and a mature height and spread of 14–16 inches. It flowers from mid-spring through summer; Syngenta lists it in its Annuals crop category and gives hardiness zone 11a.
## Flowers and placement
The pale flower clusters bring a cool accent to sunny beds, borders, and containers. Syngenta reports that Bandana White is heat tolerant and pollinator friendly. Its small mature size suits the front of a mixed planting or a container near a patio, where the flowers remain easy to see.
## Growing conditions
Plant in full sun and provide moist, well-drained soil. The species tolerates poor soil and drought, though steady moisture supports flowering, especially in pots and during hot weather. In climates colder than its listed zone, grow Bandana White as a warm-season annual and replace it after frost; only mild, nearly frost-free regions can grow it as a perennial.
## Maintenance
Check containers frequently during hot, windy weather and water when the mix begins to dry. Trim lightly if stems extend beyond the intended space. North Carolina State Extension lists lantana as moderately poisonous if eaten and notes that leaves and unripe green berries can irritate skin; keep it away from grazing animals and discourage children and pets from eating it.
