About Bandolero™ Cherry Sunrise Lantana

Bandolero™ Cherry Sunrise is a vigorous, mounding lantana selection with a larger garden profile than Syngenta’s compact Bandito™ series. Its product detail lists yellow-to-gold flowers, 18–24 inches of height and spread, mid-spring through summer flowering, and pollinator-friendly performance. ## Garden Use The breeder recommends larger containers for this vigorous selection, making it useful as a warm-season focal plant on a patio or in a sunny mixed planting. Syngenta lists it as an annual crop and gives a USDA hardiness range of 9a–11a. Its product page identifies full sun, heat-loving growth, and a vigorous habit; see the [Syngenta product detail](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70071399) for the exact selection and specifications. ## Growing Conditions Give it full sun and use a free-draining soil or potting mix. NC State Extension’s general lantana guidance recommends moist, well-drained soil and notes that the species handles heat and drought, though plants in containers dry more quickly than established garden plants. Lantana can become weedy in tropical regions; leaves and unripe berries may irritate skin and are toxic if eaten. See [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lantana-camara/). ## Maintenance Water while new roots establish and check larger pots regularly during hot weather. Remove faded flower clusters if you prefer a tidier display, and use care around foliage and unripe berries.
