Create design onlineAbout Bandolero™ Lychee Lantana
Bandolero™ Lychee is a mounding lantana with pink-and-rose bicolor flowers and an 18–24 inch garden height and width. The [Syngenta Bandolero™ Lychee page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70090295) lists this exact selection as product 70090295, suited to full sun, heat and hardiness zones 9a–11a. Its ample blooms and rounded form work well in larger containers, sunny borders and warm-climate pollinator plantings.
## Landscape Use
Give this vigorous cultivar room to fill a container or a sunny bed edge. Its pink and rose flowers add a warm accent among blue, white or deep purple companions, while the mounding habit softens hard edges. Syngenta recommends the series for larger containers and identifies Lychee as a pink-rose bicolor selection on its [product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70090295).
## Growing Conditions
Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Water new plantings regularly as roots establish; mature lantana tolerates heat and periods of dry weather. The [North Carolina Extension lantana profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lantana-camara/) describes its pollinator value and notes that lantanas can become invasive in tropical regions. The profile also cautions that foliage and unripe berries are toxic if eaten, especially for livestock, and that leaf contact can irritate sensitive skin.
## Maintenance
Trim lightly to maintain the desired outline and remove damaged growth. During extended drought, water deeply, then allow the soil to drain. In frost-free climates lantana may persist as a shrub; elsewhere it is generally grown as a warm-season annual.
