About Landscape Bandana® Gold Lantana

Landscape Bandana® Gold is a vigorous, spreading lantana with yellow-gold flowers. The [Syngenta product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70070696) lists a height of 16–20 inches, a spread of 32–36 inches and hardiness zone 11a. Its full-sun habit, summer-long display and strong heat and drought tolerance make it useful for broad sunny beds and large containers. ## Landscape Use Use this cultivar where spreading growth can cover a bed edge or fill a sunny slope. Syngenta describes it as spreading up to three feet and notes that its blooms continue through summer. The vigorous habit also suits larger patio pots and mixed landscape plantings. ## Growing Conditions Grow lantana in full sun and well-drained soil. Water regularly as new plants establish; established lantana tolerates heat and short dry spells. The [North Carolina Extension lantana profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lantana-camara/) notes its pollinator value and cautions that some forms can become invasive in tropical regions. Foliage and unripe berries can harm livestock if eaten, and leaf contact may irritate sensitive skin. ## Maintenance Trim stems that extend beyond the intended planting area and remove damaged growth. Water deeply during prolonged drought, then let the soil drain. In frost-free regions lantana may persist as a shrub; in colder areas it is usually grown as a warm-season annual.
