Create design onlineAbout Passionfruit Lantana
PassionFruit is a medium-trailing lantana with multicolored flowers and abundant bloom. Ball FloraPlant lists a mature height of 12–16 inches and spread of 12–14 inches, with sun exposure and use in hanging baskets.
## Flowers and placement
The [Ball FloraPlant plant page](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=036900001016305) identifies the selection as ‘Ballanpaf’ and describes its flowers as multicolored. A 2025 Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden field trial noted full-covered flowering from June into early October. The medium, trailing form also works in mixed containers.
## Maintenance
Grow in sun and allow the soil to dry between waterings. Pinch about two weeks after transplanting to encourage branching; Ball FloraPlant notes that a second pinch can help. Avoid overwatering, as lantana is susceptible to root rot. Plants are not vigorous, so give them time to establish before trimming.
