About Lavender Platinum Blonde™

Platinum Blonde® is a compact English lavender known for luminous variegated foliage and fragrant bluish-mauve flowers. Its leaves show white, yellow, cream, and light-green tones, with a gray-green winter color. ## Foliage and flowers The breeder describes flowering from spring to autumn, with fragrant bluish-mauve flowers appearing in mid-July. The foliage provides year-round ornamental interest, and the plant has a compact, upright form. Darwin Perennials also lists it as attractive to bees and butterflies. ## Growing conditions Plant it in full sun. The breeder describes the selection as low-water and low-maintenance; Darwin lists drought and heat tolerance and USDA zones 6–9. Published size ranges vary with source and growing conditions, so use the listed compact form as a guide and allow space for the clump to mature. ## Maintenance Momparler notes that routine pruning is not needed to keep compact potted plants in shape. For selection details, see the [Platinum Blonde Lavender plant page from Momparler](https://lavandamomparler.com/en/about/) and the [Darwin Perennials product profile](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=037300062030570).
