Sentivia™ Blue is an upright English lavender with large, strongly fragrant flowers, robust stems, and basal branching. Syngenta lists this exact variety for full sun, with garden dimensions of 14–20 inches high by 10–12 inches wide and hardiness zones 5a–9a.
## Flowering and placement
The product flowers in mid spring, late spring, and summer. It is a first-year flowering lavender that does not require vernalization, making it useful for early-season color as well as continuing summer bloom. Its narrow upright habit fits containers, sunny beds, and landscape plantings; allow airflow around the foliage and stems.
## Growing conditions
Provide full sun and well-drained soil. English lavender performs best where water drains freely; avoid keeping the root zone constantly wet. The exact Sentivia™ Blue culture guide recommends allowing growing media to dry between irrigations. Water more frequently while a new plant establishes, then adjust to weather and soil conditions. The listed hardiness range is USDA 5a–9a.
## Maintenance
After the main flush, trim spent flower stems and lightly shape the leafy growth. Avoid cutting into old bare wood. In containers, use a pot with drainage holes and check moisture more often during warm weather.
