About Castilliano 2.0™ Lilac Lavandula

Castilliano 2.0 Lilac is an upright Spanish lavender with fragrant, pollinator-friendly flower spikes. Syngenta describes medium vigor and a free-flowering habit, making this compact cultivar useful in containers and sunny garden beds. ## Flowers and form The Lilac color selection grows about 10–14 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide. Syngenta lists flowering from mid spring through summer and USDA hardiness zones 7a–9a. The RHS describes Spanish lavender flowers as fragrant, with aromatic gray-green foliage and distinctive flowerheads crowned by bracts. ## Growing conditions Give this lavender full sun and well-drained soil. It prefers good drainage and a warm, bright position; in cooler regions it can be grown in a container and moved to a sheltered spot for winter. Its compact upright habit works well near a path or at the front of a sunny border. ## Maintenance Trim lightly after flowering to preserve its shape and avoid cutting into old wood.
