About Shasta Daisy 'Western Star™ 'Taurus''

Western Star Taurus is a compact, clump-forming Shasta daisy with dark green, toothed leaves and single white flowers with yellow centers. In full sun, it flowers over a long summer period, especially when faded blooms are removed. It fits cottage gardens, flower borders, containers, and cut-flower plantings. The [Royal Horticultural Society profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/373126/leucanthemum-%C3%97-superbum-western-star-taurus-leuz0003/details) describes a mature height of about 4–20 inches and a spread of roughly 2–3 feet. ## Growing Conditions Give the plant full sun and moist but well-drained soil; it tolerates several soil textures. Good drainage prevents winter wet from damaging the crown. The clump-forming habit makes it suitable for perennial borders and informal gardens. ## Maintenance Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering, then cut stems to ground level when bloom has finished. Divide every two to three years in early spring or late autumn to maintain vigor.
