About Darling Daisy® - Leucanthemum x superbum

Darling Daisy® is a compact Shasta daisy selection with small, pure white flowers and a low garden profile. Green Fuse lists it at 6–8 inches tall and describes it as continuously flowering, making it useful where a modest-scale daisy is needed. ## Garden use and appearance Green Fuse Botanicals distinguishes Darling Daisy® from its taller Darling Daisy® Supreme and from the fully double-flowered Double Darling Daisy®. This selection has a short stature and small, single-looking white daisies, suited to the front of a perennial border, mixed containers, and patio pots. The breeder’s [individual plant profile](https://green-fuse.com/new/leucanthemum-darling-daisy/) identifies the plant as *Leucanthemum* hybrid; its [2024–25 catalog](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/GreenFuse-Catalog-2024-25-lr.pdf) lists a 6–8-inch garden height and USDA zone 6. That source gives a minimum zone only, not an upper hardiness limit. ## Growing conditions Plant in freely draining soil and avoid keeping the root zone saturated. The Green Fuse culture sheet is written for container production; it advises careful, even moisture and cautions against overwatering and high salts. For landscape planting, use a sunny site with well-drained soil, following general Shasta daisy guidance from [North Carolina Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/leucanthemum-x-superbum/common-name/shasta-daisy/). ## Maintenance Remove faded blooms to maintain a tidy display. Divide established clumps every few years if they become crowded or flowering decreases.
