About Lucille™ White Shasta Daisy

Lucille™ White is an upright Shasta daisy with large, single white flowers that Danziger lists from early spring through fall. The developer describes this selection as medium in vigor and flowering response within the Lucille series. ## Garden profile Danziger reports a mature height of about 12 inches, a spread of 12–16 inches and hardiness in USDA Zones 5–9. Plant it in full sun for the strongest flowering, with light shade tolerated in warmer gardens. Use fertile, freely draining soil; keep moisture even while avoiding waterlogged conditions. Its compact footprint suits the front of a perennial border, a mixed planting or a patio container. Unlike Lucille Chic, which is the earliest and most compact series member, White has a medium flowering response. ## Maintenance Water regularly through establishment and during dry spells, allowing excess water to drain. Remove spent flowers to prolong the display and trim old stems after flowering. Divide the clump in spring every few years if it becomes crowded or flowers less freely.
