About Asiatic Lily Mix

Summer Daze Mix combines Asiatic hybrid lilies, a group with varied flower shapes and colors and blooms that generally run from spring into summer ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lilium-asiatic-hybrids/), [RHS Asiatic lily profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/70679/lilium-asiatic-hybrids-i/details)). Most Asiatic lilies are unscented, and individual stems in a mix may differ in height, color, and flowering time. Treat the pack as a group planting rather than a single-color selection, and follow the bulb label for its specific details. ## Placement Asiatic lilies typically grow 2–5 ft tall. They suit sunny or lightly shaded borders and containers; choose loose, well-drained soil and avoid waterlogged sites. The RHS suggests shading the bulb's root area while allowing the stems and flowers access to sun. ## Flowering & Care Plant bulbs in spring or autumn according to the supplier's instructions. Keep soil moist but well drained during growth, and water in-ground lilies during very dry summer periods. The flowers are useful for cutting; remove faded blooms, then leave stems and leaves in place until they die back naturally. Asiatic lily bulbs and foliage are toxic to cats and rabbits if eaten, so keep pets away from them ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lilium-asiatic-hybrids/)). ## Maintenance Deadhead faded flowers for a tidier display. Once the stems have died back at season's end, cut them down to ground level.
