Casa Blanca is a classic Oriental lily with large, sweetly fragrant white flowers and orange-red anthers. Its upright stems and mid- to late-summer display make it a strong backdrop or focal flower in a sunny border. ## Flowers and setting
The bowl-shaped flowers have pure white petals that curve back at the tips. Stems can reach around 1 metre, and the RHS gives a broader potential height range of 1–1.5 metres as plants mature. Use this lily among lower perennials or shrubs, leaving room for its upright stems and large blooms. It also works in a large container with good drainage and enough root space.
## Growing conditions
Plant bulbs in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Loam, sand, and clay are listed as suitable soil types; avoid sites that stay saturated. A little shade at the base can keep roots cooler while the upper stems receive light. Flowers usually appear in mid- to late summer, with timing shifting by climate.
## Maintenance
Keep soil consistently moist while shoots, buds, and flowers develop. Support tall stems if they are exposed to wind or carry heavy blooms. Remove faded flowers, but let the foliage remain until it yellows naturally so the bulb can rebuild energy for the next season.
