About Tulip Poplar 'Little Volunteer'

Little Volunteer is a refined dwarf cultivar of the native tulip tree, reaching a manageable height of 30 to 35 feet with a tidy, upright pyramidal form. Its uniquely shaped, four-lobed emerald leaves are significantly smaller than the species, creating a dense canopy that turns a brilliant golden-yellow in autumn. In late spring, it produces charming yellow and orange cup-shaped flowers. Ideal for smaller landscapes, it thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soils.
