‘Little Lamb’ is a compact panicle hydrangea with delicate, small white florets held in upright, airy clusters above a mounded deciduous shrub. It generally grows 4–6 feet tall and wide; summer flowers continue into fall and may turn pink as they age.
## Seasonal Interest & Uses
Its fine-textured flower clusters offer a lighter look than the broad, dense panicles of many hydrangeas. Plant ‘Little Lamb’ in a mixed border, shrub grouping, or as a specimen; the flowers also work fresh or dried in arrangements. The cultivar was introduced from Belgium and is identified by Proven Winners as ‘Little Lamb’ (USPP15395).
## Growing Conditions
Part sun to sun supports flowering, while afternoon shade can help in hotter settings. Choose well-drained soil; the grower notes that loam is preferred but that the plant adapts to a range of soils. Keep moisture even during establishment and extended dry periods. Proven Winners lists USDA zones 3–9.
## Maintenance
The shrub flowers on new wood, so late-winter or early-spring pruning can be used to shape it before growth resumes. Remove only as much as needed to maintain the desired framework.
