Glow™ White Lightning Lobelia erinus

Glow™ White Lightning is a compact, mounded Lobelia erinus selection with small white flowers. Danziger lists it as early flowering and heat tolerant, at 8–10 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide. ## Flowering and placement Use the bright flowers in patio pots, hanging baskets, mixed containers or the front of a landscape bed. The series is suited to season-extender programs, and the rounded habit makes White Lightning an easy filler around taller plants. Its white color also helps illuminate shaded or evening-facing containers. ## Growing conditions Provide organically rich, moist but well-drained soil and full sun or partial shade. Lobelia erinus prefers cool spring weather and regular watering; it does not tolerate drought. In hot-summer locations, afternoon shade can help extend flowering, while container plantings need frequent moisture checks. Danziger describes this Glow selection as heat tolerant, but avoid letting its root zone dry. ## Maintenance Cut plants back when flowers and foliage begin to fade to encourage new growth. Remove tired stems from baskets and keep the soil evenly moist through active flowering.
