Riviera Blue Sky, listed by PanAmerican Seed as Riviera Sky Blue, is a compact, mounded Lobelia erinus with light blue flowers. The Riviera series flowers extra early—about 15 days ahead of standard varieties—and the official plant page gives a mature size of 5 inches high by 8 inches wide. ## Flowering and placement
This low selection is suitable for beds, borders, containers and color bowls. The breeder lists it for early spring and spring and recommends partial sun. Its compact scale works well along a path edge or at the front of a mixed planter.
## Growing conditions
Lobelia erinus usually flowers best in cool weather and may stop blooming when heat arrives. Use moist, well-drained soil and sun or partial shade. Illinois Extension recommends watering and shearing plants after the first flush if flowering slows in summer. [Illinois Extension: Lobelia](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/lobelia)
## Maintenance
Keep the root area evenly moist, especially in pots and during warm spells. Trim back tired stems after the first flush and continue watering to support fresh growth.
