About Techno® Heat Upright Blue Lobelia

Techno® Heat Upright Blue is an annual Lobelia erinus with blue flowers and an upright, space-saving form. Syngenta’s page for product code 70059431 lists the selection as Techno® Upright Blue, 8–12 inches high by 16–20 inches wide, with flowering from early spring through summer in partial or full sun. [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70059431) ## Flowers and placement Use its upright habit for patio pots, window boxes, and narrow planting spaces where a spreading mound would crowd neighboring plants. The Techno series is bred for early flowering and heat tolerance, and Syngenta marks this selection as pollinator friendly. Lobelia erinus usually blooms most freely in cooler weather and prefers moist, well-drained soil. [Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/lobelia) notes that warm conditions can interrupt flowering, so keep plants watered as temperatures rise. ## Growing conditions Set containers where the plant receives sun or partial shade, and leave room for stems to branch without being crowded. It works well as a compact upright accent among trailing annuals. ## Maintenance Water when the soil surface begins to dry, checking small pots often. Remove faded or untidy stems to keep the form neat, and avoid allowing the root ball to dry out during hot weather.
