About Techno® Light Blue Lobelia

Techno® Light Blue is an annual Lobelia erinus with light blue flowers and a mounding, spreading habit. Syngenta lists a garden size of 6–10 inches high by 18–22 inches wide, with flowers from early spring through summer in partial or full sun. [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70053408) ## Flowers and placement The compact height and wider spread suit containers, hanging baskets, and the front of a mixed border. Syngenta describes this selection as densely branched, heat tolerant, and pollinator friendly, so it can keep color through warm conditions while offering flowers to visiting insects. Lobelia erinus often flowers most freely in cooler weather and prefers moist, well-drained soil. [Illinois Extension](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/lobelia) notes that plants may go out of bloom when hot. ## Growing conditions Choose a bright site with partial shade available in the warmest part of the day. In containers, use a free-draining mix and allow room for the stems to spread. ## Maintenance Water regularly to keep the root zone from drying, especially in baskets and exposed pots. Trim back tired stems to keep the plant neat and continue watering through warm weather.
