Techno® Upright Dark Blue Lobelia

Techno® Upright Dark Blue is an upright lobelia selected for its dark blue flowers and compact growth. Syngenta lists it for early spring through summer in part or full sun and notes its heat tolerance and pollinator appeal. ## Plant Profile The [Techno® Upright Dark Blue plant page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70076404) identifies product code 70076404 and describes an upright, compact plant reaching 8–12 inches tall and 16–20 inches wide. Its upright shape is suited to small-pot and mixed-container displays, where it provides a vertical accent among lower-growing plants. The source lists hardiness zone 11a; this tender bedding plant is also commonly grown as an annual in cooler climates. ## Growing Conditions The species profile from [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/lobelia-erinus/) recommends organically rich, moist, well-drained soil and regular watering. It describes Lobelia erinus as suited to full sun through part shade, consistent with Syngenta's part-sun and full-sun listing. In hot weather, steady moisture and some afternoon shade can help maintain the flowers. ## Maintenance Water regularly and keep the root zone from drying out. Use a well-drained mix in pots and check small containers often during warm or windy weather. Remove tired stems as needed to refresh the display.
