Magadi™ Basket Dark Purple Lobelia

Magadi™ Basket Dark Purple lobelia is a vigorous, semi-trailing selection with petite purple blooms for baskets, pots, and mixed containers. Selecta lists a mature height of 6–10 inches and a 12–14-inch spread, allowing stems to spill over a planter edge. ## Form and placement The [Selecta North America plant profile](https://www.selectanorthamerica.com/Trixi/SeriesInfo/?phid=039305137023552) identifies this as a Magadi Basket Lobelia Series selection with a dark-purple flower color, medium vigor, and a semi-trailing habit. The profile recommends partial sun and pots, baskets, and combinations; its heat-tolerance rating is very good. The listed height and spread are ranges, so they describe the expected form rather than a single mature-size point. ## Maintenance Use a free-draining container mix and water according to the planter’s drying rate and local weather. Selecta’s grower notes describe production watering and finishing conditions; those are nursery instructions rather than a universal landscape watering schedule. Remove spent or damaged growth as needed to keep the container tidy.
