Stream™ Compact Purple Lobularia hybrida

STREAM™ Compact Purple is a compact, rounded Lobularia hybrida with highly fragrant flowers that attract pollinators. Danziger lists it at 4–6 inches high by 10–18 inches wide, flowering from early spring through autumn, and describes it as heat and cold tolerant. ## Garden use The breeder notes that its growth can continue after greenhouse production, helping it fill larger containers. It is suited to mixed containers, hanging baskets, window boxes, and low landscape plantings, where its spreading form can soften an edge. Sweet alyssum grows in sun to partial shade and needs well-drained soil; Illinois Extension emphasizes drainage for reliable garden performance. Keep drainage open and leave room for the mature spread. A light summer trim can refresh flowering if stems become untidy.
