Create design onlineAbout Blue Moon™ Honeyberry
Blue Moon™ is a compact, spreading honeyberry with soft, dark green foliage and large, dark blue edible fruit. It suits a home orchard or edible landscape, where a second compatible honeyberry can provide cross-pollination.
## Size and fruit
Published mature heights differ: One Green World lists 2–3 feet, while Ison’s lists about 4 feet tall and wide. The plant’s final size can vary with growing conditions. Both sources describe productive crops of blue berries, with harvest around June in their growing regions. One Green World classifies Blue Moon among its later-blooming honeyberries for the Pacific Northwest.
## Siting and pollination
Grow in well-drained soil with half a day to full sun in cool regions; provide partial shade in hot climates. Plant another honeyberry that flowers at a similar time, since one plant alone will not set a reliable crop. Read the [Blue Moon™ Honeyberry profile from One Green World](https://onegreenworld.com/product/blue-moon-honeyberry/) and [Ison’s cultivar listing](https://www.isons.com/shop/berry-plants/honeyberry/blue-moon-honeyberry/) for their regional guidance.
## Maintenance
Water during dry periods while the shrub establishes and keep the root area mulched. Avoid crowding the partner plant; adequate light and airflow support flowering and fruiting.
