Thunderbolt® Box Honeysuckle

Thunderbolt® is a compact box honeysuckle grown for dense, fine-textured chartreuse foliage. Bloomin’ Easy describes its midsize form as suitable for a boxwood alternative in part-sun landscapes; it can be allowed to cascade or shaped to suit the site. The exact cultivar is Golden Glow (USPP26598), as named on the breeder’s detail page. The breeder lists zones 5–9 and spring bloom. ## Garden use Use Thunderbolt® as a low hedge, clipped edge, or foliage accent where its fine leaves can soften a path or entry. Part sun is the stated exposure; allow room for its dense branching and shape only as needed to maintain the desired outline. Its leaf color is strongest as a contrast to dark green foliage and broad-leaved perennials. ## Maintenance Water regularly while establishing, then irrigate during extended dry weather. Trim lightly after growth if you want a formal edge; for a looser effect, let the branches cascade. [Bloomin’ Easy Thunderbolt®](https://bloomineasyplants.com/plant/lonicera-thunderbolt-3/)
