Emerald Snow Semi-dwarf Loropetalum

Emerald Snow® is the Southern Living Plant Collection selection Loropetalum chinense 'Shang-white' PP21738. This evergreen, semi-dwarf shrub has layered growth, dense glossy-green foliage, lime-green new growth, and white flowers in spring; scattered blooms may continue through summer and fall. ## Garden use The listed mature size is 4–6 feet high by 3–4 feet wide. Use it as an accent, in a container, as a hedge, in a mass planting, or on a slope. It grows in full sun to part shade and is listed for USDA zones 7a–10b. The developer describes the plant as deer resistant and notes its layered form needs little pruning. ## Maintenance Southern Living Plants rates its water needs as medium and recommends yearly early-spring fertilizing. If pruning is needed, prune after the spring bloom. [View the exact Emerald Snow® plant profile](https://southernlivingplants.com/the-collection/plant/emerald-snow-semi-dwarf-loropetalum/).
