Gallery Blue is a blue-flowering selection in HM.CLAUSE’s Gallery lupine series. The breeder lists Pure Blue and Blue Shades among the color choices and describes the series as an early, long-flowering perennial with densely packed flower spikes.
## Flowers and garden use
HM.CLAUSE gives the Gallery series a mature height of 35–40 cm and width of 40 cm, with bloom from May through August. It identifies Lupinus polyphyllus as the series typology and lists bedding use. The Royal Horticultural Society’s exact Gallery Blue profile describes a compact, clump-forming plant with purple-blue flowers and mid-green leaves; its broader mature-size range is 0.1–0.5 m. RHS lists full sun or partial shade and container, cut-flower, and flower-border uses. The RHS profile also records the synonym Lupinus nanus 'Russel Gallery Blue', while HM.CLAUSE uses L. polyphyllus.
## Maintenance
Grow in light, slightly acidic, well-drained soil or sandy soil. RHS recommends deadheading to encourage another flush of flowers.
