Staircase® Blue - Lupinus

Staircase® Blue is the Blue flower selection in Green Fuse Botanicals’ Staircase Lupinus series; its catalog code is LSTBL01-1. The Proven Winners profile describes this upright perennial with blue flower spikes, green foliage, and a spring-to-summer flowering season. ## Flowers and garden use The profile lists a mature range of 18–24 inches high by 18–23 inches wide and USDA zones 4–8. It grows in full sun and is listed for borders, containers, and cut flowers. Green Fuse describes Staircase lupines as compact, heavily branched plants with several flower spikes blooming together and a longer flowering display. ## Maintenance The Proven Winners profile recommends consistent moisture and good drainage and suggests pinching the dominant terminal shoot to encourage basal branching and more flower stems.
