Create design onlineAbout Compact Oregon Grape
This broadleaf evergreen shrub is a slower-growing, compact version of the Oregon Grape. It features glossy, holly-like green foliage that transitions to bronze-red in new growth and purple-red in winter. In spring, it produces fragrant yellow flower clusters, followed by edible blue-black berries. It thrives in partial to full shade and moist, acidic soil. Its dense habit makes it ideal for groundcover, low hedges, or foundation plantings in smaller gardens.
