Rejoice™ Flowering Crabapple

Rejoice™ is the crabapple cultivar ‘Rejzam’, a rounded, moderately upright tree with red buds and semi-double rose-pink flowers. Lake County Nursery identifies it as a cross between Red Barron and Royal Scepter; its selection sheet gives a mature height of 12–15 feet and spread of 15–20 feet. ## Form and seasonal interest The spring flowers are followed by occasional burgundy fruit, while dark green leaves carry a burgundy cast. J. Frank Schmidt lists a larger estimate of about 20 feet high by 18 feet wide, so allow a flexible space for the crown rather than treating one measurement as a limit.
