Bonanza™ Yellow French Marigold

Bonanza™ Yellow is the yellow-flowered selection in PanAmerican Seed’s Bonanza™ French marigold series. This compact Tagetes patula annual carries double-crested flowers on plants about 10–12 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide, a scale suited to the front of a border, edging, or a small container ([PanAmerican Seed](https://catalog.panamseed.com/view/445948364/68/)). ## Garden Use Use it where a bright yellow accent can be repeated in a bed or container. The Bonanza series is selected for large, double-crested flowers and a relatively synchronized flowering period. ## Siting and Seasonal Display Set plants in full sun or partial shade in average, well-drained soil that stays evenly moist. French marigolds can flower from spring into fall when spent blooms are removed; local frost ends the display. Water during dry periods, especially while plants establish. ## Maintenance Pinch or snip off faded flower heads regularly to prolong flowering. Remove frost-damaged plants at season’s end, and keep foliage from remaining crowded and wet to reduce leaf disease risk.
