About Centum™ Pink Matthiola

Centum™ Pink is an upright stock selected for spring greenhouse production and cut-flower stems. The plant reaches 25–32 inches tall and produces pink flowers for early- to late-spring schedules. PanAmerican Seed identifies the variety as Balcentink and describes the Centum series as uniform in growth and timing. Selectable seed lots can produce single- or double-flowering plants, with roughly half of the seedlings double-flowered; growers can remove single-flowered seedlings when a double-flowering crop is desired. [PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/074602896004054/matthiola-centum-pink/). ## Maintenance Grow in a sunny position and plan sowing and transplanting around the intended spring flowering date. Follow the seasonal crop schedule for the Centum series; transplanting earlier than the recommended period may delay flowering. Check seedlings for flower form and select out single-flowered plants if the crop is intended for double blooms.
