Column Stock Miracle Gold Matthiola

Column Stock Miracle Gold is an upright stock selected for dense, scented flower spikes in a golden color. The cut-flower selection flowers from late spring into summer and is grown for its long, florist-quality stems. ## Characteristics PanAmerican Seed lists a height of 24–30 inches and an upright habit. Its single-stemmed florist types have large, closely spaced double blooms; doubleness is not selectable in this seed line. The company lists direct sowing to finish at about 20–22 weeks for field production. ## Growing Provide sun and schedule production for cool growing conditions, when stem length is best. PanAmerican Seed cautions that high heat can stunt plants or prevent flower spikes from developing. The profile lists late spring, summer, and late summer flowering. See the [PanAmerican Seed Column Stock Miracle Gold profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/074600341008679/matthiola-column-stock-miracle-gold/) for product-specific growing information. ## Maintenance Harvest stems as flower spikes develop, and clear spent material after cutting. Use the grower’s field-production guidance for crop timing and density; its planting density is for field production, not a landscape spacing recommendation.
