Mini Mint Ornamental Mint

Mini Mint is a named ornamental mint selection of *Mentha requienii*, sold for its very small stature and fragrant foliage. PanAmerican Seed lists it at 1–2 inches tall with a 6–12-inch spread and rates it for USDA zones 6a–9b. ([PanAmerican Seed 2026–2027 catalog, page 72](https://catalog.panamseed.com/view/445948364/72/)) ## In the Garden Use Mini Mint as a low groundcover, in small pots, or as a fragrant accent in a container planting. The catalog describes it as an ornamental product; its leaves are non-toxic but are not palatable, so choose culinary mint for edible use. The 1–2-inch height and spreading habit suit small-scale edging and close-up plantings. ## Growing Conditions PanAmerican Seed provides a zone range but does not give a sun exposure or garden soil prescription on this product page. Use a well-drained planting medium and avoid letting container roots dry completely while plants establish. ## Maintenance Trim the mat lightly if it reaches beyond its space. In pots, check moisture regularly and ensure excess water can drain freely.
