Grape Gumball Bee Balm

SUGAR BUZZ® ‘Grape Gumball’ is a compact Monarda with upright stems, dark green mint-scented foliage, and rounded magenta-purple flower clusters. Walters Gardens lists it at 20–24 inches tall and 16–24 inches wide, with midsummer bloom and strong powdery mildew resistance. ## Garden use Place it near the middle of a sunny or partly shaded border, in a rain garden with suitable drainage, or in a container. The nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, while the foliage adds fragrance when crushed. ## Growing conditions Grow in fertile or average soil and provide consistent moisture; avoid letting the root zone dry out. Full sun gives best flowering, though part shade is also suitable. The upright clump fills space without spreading aggressively. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower heads if you want to prolong the display. Thin crowded clumps when needed to improve airflow through the foliage, especially in humid or dry-stressed conditions.
