Thai Constellation is a variegated cultivar of Monstera deliciosa, an evergreen climbing houseplant. Its mature leaves are deep green, splashed and streaked with creamy white, and develop the splits and openings characteristic of mature Monstera. The vine climbs with aerial roots and can become a substantial indoor plant when given support. ## Growing Conditions
Place it in bright indirect light; it tolerates lower light but grows more slowly there. Use a loose, loam-based potting mix that retains some moisture while draining freely. Allow the upper portion of the mix to dry before watering again, and avoid leaving the roots in soggy soil. Average indoor humidity is tolerated, while higher humidity can support vigorous growth. A conservatory or bright indoor room gives the climbing stems space to develop.
## Maintenance
Feed monthly with a balanced houseplant fertilizer during active spring and summer growth, following the label directions. Reduce watering in winter and keep the mix just moist. Prune only old or damaged leaves, and train new growth onto a sturdy pole or trellis. The plant is harmful if eaten, and its sap may irritate skin or eyes; wear gloves when handling.
