Mon Amie Pink is a compact woodland forget-me-not that brings soft pink flowers to cool-season borders and containers. This mounded selection flowers in its first year and does not need a cold vernalization period, making it useful for planned spring color.
## Growing
The [PanAmerican Seed plant profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/043504917004054/myosotis-mon-amie-pink/) describes an 8–10 inch plant with a 6–8 inch spread for sun to partial sun. The [RHS Myosotis sylvatica profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/41558/myosotis-sylvatica/details) recommends moist, well-drained soil and notes spring flowering. Keep the root zone evenly moist, especially in containers, and use the low mound along paths, at the front of a border, or in mixed seasonal plantings. Pink is the defining flower color of Mon Amie Pink; the lighter green foliage remains a quiet backdrop.
## Seasonal Use
Plant it where spring flowers can be enjoyed close up, or repeat small groups for a soft edge. It also fits cottage, woodland, and pollinator-friendly plantings.
## Maintenance
Water when the soil begins to dry, particularly during warm spells. Remove spent plants when flowering is finished if you want to limit self-seeding; otherwise, allow a few to set seed for naturalized patches.
