Nepeta 'Blue Dragon'

Nepeta ‘Blue Dragon’ is an upright, compact catmint selected for unusually large blue to violet-blue flowers. Terra Nova lists it at about 30 inches tall and wide, with flower stems reaching about 36 inches, and recommends it for sunny borders and large containers. ## Garden use The cultivar is Nepeta yunnanensis ‘Blue Dragon’ (PP22334), a distinct selection with a more upright habit and showier flowers than the species form. Terra Nova reports USDA zones 5–9, June through September flowering, full sun, average garden water, and well-drained, relatively low-organic soil.
