Junior Walker™ Catmint

Junior Walker™ is a compact catmint sold under the cultivar code ‘Novanepjun’ and US patent PP23074. Monrovia lists mature dimensions of 14–16 inches tall and 30–36 inches wide and USDA hardiness in zones 4–8. ## Garden use Use this low, spreading perennial along sunny to partly shaded borders, paths, or the edges of mixed plantings. The selection is described as a sterile, dwarf alternative to Walker’s Low, so its cultivar identity should remain distinct from that better-known catmint. It tolerates dry conditions after establishment, but regular water during establishment and good drainage help it settle in. The [Monrovia Junior Walker™ profile](https://www.monrovia.com/junior-walker-catmint.html) supplies the cultivar-specific size and hardiness details. ## Maintenance Water through the first growing season and during prolonged drought. Once established, trim faded stems to refresh the mound and encourage rebloom. Leave healthy foliage until spring cleanup, then remove winter-damaged growth. Keep enough room for the plant’s broad spread rather than crowding it against neighboring perennials.
