About Olive Tree

Olea europaea, the common olive, is a slow-growing, broadleaf evergreen tree or shrub known for its gnarled, picturesque trunk and rounded crown. Its leathery, lanceolate leaves are a distinctive grayish-green on top and silvery underneath. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, it is highly drought-tolerant once established. Beyond its ornamental value, it is commercially prized for its edible drupes and oil. It performs best in Mediterranean climates with hot, dry summers.
