Akila® Grand Canyon Mixture Osteospermum

Akila® Grand Canyon Mixture is a multicolored African daisy seed mix with warm yellow, rose-red, purple, lavender, cream, and white flowers. The plants form compact, mounded clumps with a coordinated spring display, making the mix useful where a varied palette and consistent flowering are wanted. The listed colors are represented across the mix; individual plants may differ. The product profile describes a mounded habit, a height of 10–14 inches, a width of 14–20 inches, and flowering from early spring through late spring. ## Growing Conditions Plant in full sun. The profile lists USDA hardiness zones 9a–11. PanAmerican describes the Akila series as compact and well-branched, with no pinching needed for branching, and says established plants are drought tolerant. It also reports that Akila colors flower within a 7–10-day window across the series. ## Sources [PanAmerican Seed: Akila® Grand Canyon Mixture](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/046106258034268/osteospermum-akila-grand-canyon-mixture/) ## Maintenance Water regularly while plants establish. Once established in a suitable sunny site, allow the soil to dry somewhat between waterings. Remove spent flowers if a tidier display is desired.
