Akila® White African Daisy

Akila® White is a seed-grown African daisy selected for a compact, well-branched mounded habit and white flowers. PanAmerican Seed describes Akila as a no-pinch series with uniform plants, a 7–10-day flowering window across the series, no vernalization requirement, and drought tolerance once established. On the exact Akila White product page, PanAmerican lists early spring, spring, and late spring bloom; sun exposure; a 10–14 inch height; and a 14–20 inch width. The source gives a hardiness range of 9a–11 without labeling it as USDA, so no USDA zone is entered here. [PanAmerican Seed: Osteospermum Akila® White](https://www.panamseed.com/products/046106258005863/osteospermum-akila-white/) ## Maintenance Grow in full sun and allow room for its spreading 14–20 inch width. Water new plants while they establish; the breeder notes drought tolerance after establishment. Akila plants branch without pinching, and the series does not need vernalization. Flowering timing varies with local climate and growing conditions.
