Flower Power™ Compact Yellow African Daisy

FlowerPower™ Compact Yellow is a compact osteospermum with bright yellow, daisy-like flowers and a naturally mounded outline. Selecta lists this selection at 8–12 inches tall and 12–18 inches wide for full sun, with pots and landscape beds among its uses ([official plant profile](https://www.selectanorthamerica.com/SpringPlants/SeriesInfo/?phid=046103827001250)). ## Garden use The compact, high-density habit fits patio pots, mixed containers, edging, and the front of sunny beds. Its early, uniform flowering and large blooms bring a clear block of yellow into spring plantings and other cool-season displays. ## Siting and soil Choose a sunny, warm position in light, well-drained soil. In containers, use a free-draining mix and a pot with open drainage holes; the species profile also recommends shelter from cold winds ([RHS growing guidance](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/46928/osteospermum-ecklonis/details)). ## Maintenance Water after planting and while the root system establishes. Once growing well, allow the surface of the potting mix to begin drying between waterings, while avoiding prolonged dryness or waterlogged roots. Remove spent flowers to encourage continued bloom, and protect or move containers before frost in cold-winter areas.
