Flower Power™ Spider Pink African Daisy

FlowerPower™ Spider Pink is an upright osteospermum with distinctive pink flowers. Selecta lists this Spider selection at 10–14 inches tall and 14–20 inches wide for sunny sites, including pots and landscape beds ([official plant profile](https://www.selectanorthamerica.com/SpringPlants/SeriesInfo/?phid=046103827017223)). ## Garden use Use the Spider form where its unusual flower shape can be appreciated at close range, such as a patio container or the front of a sunny bed. Its upright habit and early-season flowering bring height and color to mixed plantings without losing its recognizable pink identity. ## Siting and soil Give the plant full sun and light, well-drained soil. A warm, sheltered position suits osteospermum; the RHS recommends protection from cold winds and very well-drained soil for the species ([RHS growing guidance](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/46928/osteospermum-ecklonis/details)). ## Maintenance Water after planting and during establishment. In containers, let excess water drain and allow the surface of the mix to begin drying between waterings. Remove faded blooms to extend the flowering display. In frost-prone climates, protect the plant from freezing weather or move a container to a frost-free place for winter.
