Ostica™ Burgundy African Daisy

Ostica™ Burgundy is Danziger’s burgundy-flowered selection of Osteospermum ecklonis. The official profile describes an early-flowering plant with a controlled, mounded habit and large single flowers. [Danziger: Ostica™ Burgundy](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/ostica-burgundy/) ## Form and Use Danziger lists Ostica™ Burgundy in its annuals range. The plant is 8–10 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide, with a compact mound suited to pots and landscape planting. The profile lists callused cuttings as the propagation form and notes that the crop can be grown in a warm greenhouse without cooling. ## Seasonal Growing The published product information does not specify a USDA hardiness zone or garden sun and water requirements. As an annual, use it for seasonal color where winter frost occurs, and follow local seasonal planting times. Its controlled habit and early flowering make it a useful choice for a pot or a front-of-border display. ## Sources [Danziger: Ostica™ Burgundy](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/ostica-burgundy/) ## Maintenance Provide room for the plant’s listed 12–14 inch spread and remove spent flowers as needed to keep the display neat.
