Ostica™ Mega Pink African Daisy

Ostica™ Mega Pink is a pink-flowered Osteospermum ecklonis with large, single blooms and an early flowering habit. Danziger lists a mounded plant about 8–10 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide for pots and landscape planting ([Ostica™ Mega Pink](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/ostica-mega-pink/)). ## Form and use The rounded habit and compact spread suit patio pots, seasonal borders, and grouped plantings. Its pink flowers provide a clear color accent among other sun-loving annuals. The plant belongs to Danziger’s OSTICA™ Series. ## Siting Choose a sunny, well-drained site. The Royal Horticultural Society describes Osteospermum ecklonis as a sun-loving plant and recommends shelter from cold winds ([RHS growing guidance](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/46928/osteospermum-ecklonis/details)). Follow local conditions when deciding whether to grow it in a container or a protected bed. ## Maintenance Water regularly while plants establish, then adjust irrigation to the weather and soil rather than allowing a pot to dry completely. Remove spent flowers to keep the planting tidy and encourage continued display. In frost-prone areas, protect plants from cold or move containers to a sheltered, frost-free place.
