Ostica™DE Pink is a named Osteospermum ecklonis entry associated with Danziger's Osticade™ Pink selection in its annuals catalog. Danziger describes the Osticade series as an early-flowering, semi-trailing African daisy with a mounded form, large single flowers, and a profile of 8–10 inches tall by 12–14 inches wide. The catalog lists it for pots, landscape plantings, and hanging baskets. ## Garden use
The trailing edge of the plant can soften a container or basket, while its compact mound also fits the front of a seasonal bed. Illinois Extension notes that Osteospermum is useful in containers and often flowers best in cooler spring and fall conditions where summers are hot. ## Growing conditions
Provide full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Water when the surface begins to dry, adjusting for rainfall and container size; avoid leaving roots in saturated soil. In hot-summer climates, cooler periods can support a longer display than intense summer heat.
## Maintenance
Remove faded blooms and trim lightly to maintain a neat, semi-trailing outline. Protect from hard freezes where grown as a seasonal annual. Osteospermum belongs to Asteraceae, the daisy family. [Plants of the World Online](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/10323-1)
