Ostica™DE Purple African Daisy

OsticaDE™ Purple is a named African daisy selection in Danziger’s OSTICADE series. The exact selection page identifies Osteospermum ecklonis and describes controlled semi-trailing growth suited to baskets. Danziger lists a mounded habit, single large flowers, an 8–10 inch height, and a 12–14 inch width, and shows use in pots, hanging baskets, and landscapes. It is offered as a callused cutting; Danziger notes that the crop can be grown in a warm greenhouse with other annuals without cold treatment. Its flowering time is listed as “Early,” without a calendar season, so no particular spring or summer bloom season is inferred. [Danziger: OSTICADE™ Purple](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/osticade-purple/) ## Maintenance Use in a container, hanging basket, or landscape planting. The controlled semi-trailing stems can spill over a basket edge, while the mounded center fills the pot. Danziger specifies no cold treatment and provides no USDA hardiness zone or exact irrigation schedule. Match outdoor timing to local conditions and current grower guidance. Keep the OsticaDE Purple label intact when sourcing to distinguish it from other OsticaDE color selections.
